Position: Talent Acquisition Manager

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: Chief People Officer

Location: Hybrid within Metro Atlanta Area

The Talent Acquisition Manager plays a critical role in the organization-wide attraction and retention of top talent. This position partners closely with hiring managers, HR colleagues, and leadership to design and execute forward-thinking recruitment and serves as the Candidate’s first introduction and interaction with the organization.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in talent acquisition best practices and is strategic, creative, and data-driven - with a genuine passion for building relationships and a reputation for managing multiple priorities with speed and accuracy.

Employee Recruitment:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions; including job posting, candidate sourcing, candidate screening, candidate background checks, and communication of employment offers.
  • For high-volume animal care and frontline positions, drive the hiring process end to end: conduct initial interviews and present hiring supervisors with a short list of ready-to-hire candidates.
  • Use realistic job previews in frontline hiring, being candid with candidates up front about the emotional toll, euthanasia exposure, and physical demands of shelter work, while also maintaining compassion and care.
  • For professional, supervisory, and specialized positions, screen and forward qualified candidates to the hiring manager, who conducts interviews and makes the final selection.
  • Manage the organization’s ATS to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, position requirements, and design effective recruitment strategies.
  • Leverage multiple sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and professional networks.
  • Take responsibility to collaborate with Marketing department to develop recruitment and employment related content for LinkedIn and other social media platforms and to help promote LifeLine’s brand and values to attract top talent
  • Courageously build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future roles.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies during the recruitment process.
  • Identify, participate in, and represent LifeLine at local career fairs and recruitment events.
  • Own recruitment reporting and analytics, delivering timely insights that identify hiring gaps and drive data-informed hiring strategies
  • Respect, embrace, and celebrate diversity by championing a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture, always focused on LifeLine’s mission to save lives.
  • Demonstrate exceptional stewardship by upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity, ensuring that access to sensitive employee and organizational information is used solely for legitimate business purposes - never for personal gain, advantage, or self-comparison.
  • Help build a community of animal welfare advocates by supporting and engaging volunteers who aid LifeLine’s mission.
  • Continue education by participating in LifeLine’s 40-hour annual training requirement.

Education and/or Experience:

3-5 years of experience in recruitment/talent acquisition.

Experience with applicant tracking system - ADP preferred.

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid position, with work performed both remotely and on-site at animal shelters as needed.
