Job description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for proactively sourcing, attracting, and engaging qualified talent to support current and future workforce needs. This role builds strong candidate pipelines, partners with hiring managers, and leverages labor market insights to deliver effective and efficient recruiting outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically source and recruit active and passive candidates using appropriate and cost-effective channels.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for ongoing and anticipated hiring needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with candidates, recruitment agencies, and professional associations.
  • Review resumes, screen candidates, and assess qualifications, fit, and interest.
  • Present qualified candidates to hiring managers and provide guidance throughout the selection process.
  • Coordinate interviews and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams.
  • Extend employment offers and negotiate compensation within established guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within applicant tracking systems.
  • Contribute to early careers recruiting efforts by supporting university recruiting, internship programs, and entry-level talent pipeline development.
  • Participate in career fairs, campus events, and early career outreach activities to attract emerging talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR to support hiring and onboarding for interns and early career professionals.
  • May assist with onboarding activities and facilitate new employee orientation.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 2-4 years of recruiting or staffing experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously.
