Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Easthampton office. The Administrative Assistant will provide clerical services to managers and supervisors, including but not limited to: word processing of general correspondence and documentation, recording and filing necessary paperwork and documentation, maintaining consistent and contemporary filing systems, data base entry, information manipulation and reporting, and photocopying, binding, creating of presentations and materials.
The Administrative Assistant will also perform all tasks necessary to maintain client records; ensure record data is up-to-date and deadline-sensitive (e.g. Entrustment of Care, consents, etc.); obtain updated records and documents as assigned in adherence to established deadlines, assist in the billing process as assigned, including preparation and/or collection of billing-related reports and documents, and quality control.
This Administrative Assistant will work with highly confidential data and information about Agency and Clients. They will positively interact with co-workers and other employees of the Agency, as well as visitors, clients and collateral providers, provide information by answering questions and requests, maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, contribute to team by achieving results in timely, efficient and professional manner, and provide coverage for front desk as well as perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or member of leadership team.
Qualifications Include:
  • Associates degree in a related field preferred or equivalent direct experience of at least two years
  • Basic knowledge of both Word and Excel required.
  • Broad knowledge of non-profit administration and child protective systems
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Approved CORI, DCF background checks required
