Job description

Position Summary:

Responsible for preparing, tracking and communicating quotation activities for new and existing customers while ensuring accurate and timely quote entry. Will work with a team to ensure all customer requests for quote are entered in a timely manner. This position will also serve as the backup support for the front desk reception duties including greeting visitors and managing incoming calls via multi-line switchboard.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review, organize, and prepare customer request-for-quote (RFQ) information for the Estimating team.
  • Ensure all quotation requests are handled promptly and efficiently.
  • Enter quotations, bids, and customer data into company systems with a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain 100% data accuracy while adhering to customer-specific requirements and deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers to resolve quote-related issues quickly.
  • Provide backup reception support when needed by answering, screening, and transfering incoming calls using a multi-line phone system.
  • Support additional departments and perform other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office products. Internet and Excel experience required.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings/parts lists is a plus.
  • An understanding of Government RFQ systems a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and good judgement in dealing with incoming projects as well as adapting to changing product parameters and customer requirements.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial, administrative, quoting, or customer support environments preferred.
  • Ability to display professionalism in all aspects of the position.
