Job description

We are looking for an experienced NAV 2009 to BC Consultant to provide hands-on support for a Microsoft Dynamics NAV for a client in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining system performance, resolving production issues, and partnering with business teams to keep critical financial operations running smoothly. The consultant will also help document the current landscape, share technical knowledge with internal stakeholders, and contribute to planning efforts for a future transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.


Responsibilities:

• Deliver ongoing support for a live Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 environment, addressing day-to-day operational needs and system concerns.

• Investigate and fix application problems, production incidents, and legacy code issues within existing NAV solutions.

• Strengthen platform stability by identifying weak points, reducing recurring issues, and improving overall dependability.

• Collaborate with Finance, Field Service, and other business partners to gather concerns, explain technical solutions, and align work with business priorities.

• Provide support during month-end activities by resolving system-related issues that affect accounting and financial workflows.

• Create and refine documentation for the current NAV environment, including areas that need remediation before future project work begins.

• Offer technical insight and practical recommendations to help prepare the organization for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation.

• Support migration-related activities as needed and serve as a technical contributor as the Business Central project moves forward.

• Extensive hands-on experience supporting and developing within Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 environments.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot C/AL and C/SIDE issues in active production settings.
• Proven success resolving legacy application problems while minimizing disruption to existing operations.
• Experience supporting finance-oriented ERP processes such as General Ledger, Job Costing, and related accounting functions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and non-technical business users.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of an established ERP environment.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is preferred.
• Exposure to NAV-to-Business Central migrations, NAV Server, integrations, Azure, or modern Microsoft application architecture is a plus.
