The primary responsibilities of this job include: Developing the estimating program and producing estimates based on collected manufacturing data and scope of the product requirements. Analyzing specifications, including RFQ/RFP documents, drawings, blueprints, bills of material, and historical data and calculating product costs using labor and material pricing standards. Preparing the estimate by the labor breakdown structure and related departments when necessary. Maintaining close liaison with and providing necessary input to manufacturing quality, engineering, and purchasing. Working closely with suppliers gather product costs and produces preliminary cost curves for Pricing. Evaluating design changes, contract modifications, Quality Notes, and any other applicable cost impacts for incorporation into costing.

The primary objective is to generate quotes using proprietary quoting software in order to provide accurate costing information to Customers and Sales Representatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Review customer provided prints, data and specifications, noting exceptions when necessary.

  • Set up, enter, and forward output quote to requesting Sales person or customer.

  • Will be required to coordinate multi-plant pricing opportunities with other TTM locations.

  • Working with Sales Engineering and Manufacturing to determine if technology is within the capabilities of manufacturing, and to determine processing/pricing parameters with or without development work.

  • Determine yield projections on production request based on process steps, technology and build history when applicable.

  • Bid package management combines the ability and resources to define, plan, implement, and integrate every aspect of the comprehensive RFQ which includes accessing customer portals to pull down data, drawings, and confirm customer RFQ requirements.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge: Knowledgeable in spreadsheets, word processing, and MRP software as well as use of the Internet and e-mail is mandatory.

  • Skill in: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface with Customers and technical representatives.

  • Ability to: Review customer provided prints, data and specifications, noting exceptions when necessary. Set up, enter, and forward output quote to requesting Sales person or customer. Coordinate multi-plant pricing opportunities with other TTM locations. Work with Sales Engineering and Manufacturing to determine if technology is within the capabilities of manufacturing, and to determine processing/pricing parameters with or without development work. Determine yield projections on production request based on process steps, technology and build history when applicable.

  • Customer Segmentation: Ability to understand and categorize customers thru establishing effective communication among relevant business units (such as Sales Reps, Managers and Customer Service) and implementing applications to set strategies for making rational pricing decisions to grow business opportunities.

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$64,462 - $107,437

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
