Job description

Purchasing Quote Coordinator– Lafayette

 

Do you take pride in staying organized with multiple requests? Would you enjoy working collaboratively with a cross-functional team? Do you have experience with strategic sourcing or supply chain management?

The Kirby Risk Service Center, a division of Kirby Risk Corporation specializing in the manufacturing of electrical wiring and control panels.


What You’ll Do as a Strategic Sourcing Specialist

In this role, you would be responsible for all purchasing quote activities and tracking. The role works with Sales and Strategic Sourcing to prepare and request quote packages from suppliers.

You’ll:

  • Work closely with the Strategic Sourcing Specialists and Sales team
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal personnel
  • Answer questions from suppliers pertaining to the RFQ
  • Follow up and track the completion of RFQ’s
  • Analyze and evaluate vendor quotes for accuracy and cost
  • Maintains RFQ database
  • Demonstrate professionalism when representing the company in all communications

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management preferred, or 3 years work experience in quoting or purchasing/supply chain management
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, quality and production control, and planning processes
  • Sourcing/Supply Chain Experience
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

What to Expect in This Role

  • Onsite, indoors, in a controlled temperature environment, with a variation of noise levels.
  • This position will be working in an office environment, utilizing typical office equipment
  • Travel occasionally for training, customer visits, or vendor meetings
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift
