Purchasing and Receiving Coordinator position summary

The Purchasing & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the ordering, receiving, organization, and inventory management of all food, beverage, and operatng supplies for the F&B Departmentn. This position plays a key role in ensuring all products are ordered accurately, received properly, stored safely & distributed effciently to support daily operatonns. This is a hands-on position that requires strong organizatiion, attention to detail, andthe ability to work closely with the Executive Chef, the Director of F&B, and all outlet managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilites

Purchase all food products for restaurant, banquet, and catering operations.

Purchase all liquor, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.

Purchase all paper goods, disposables, cleaning supplies, and other operating supplies.

Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing waste and overstock.

Work with approved vendors to obtain the best pricing, quality and service.

Communicate product shortages, substitutions and pricing changes to management

Assist with inventory counts and inventory control procedures

Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries for quality, quantity, freshness and accuracy.

Verify invoices against purchase orders and packing slips.

Reject damaged, incorrect or unacceptable products

Report any discrepancies immediately to managers.

Practice First-In, First- Out inventory rotation.

Monitor product expiration dates and remove outdated items.

Restock all bars with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, paper products and supplies.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

Qualifications

3 years previous purchasing, receiving, warehouse, restaurant, hotel, country club, or food service experience required.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Purchasing/Inventory software.

Must be dependable, detail oriented, and self-motivated.

Ablity to lift 50 lbs.

Abiility to work in refrigerated coolers, freezers, kitchens and storage areas.

Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays as necessary
