Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to manage the critical supply chain and asset tracking for our technical labs. This pivotal role ensures the continuous availability of necessary hardware, components, and equipment by overseeing inventory, procurement, logistics, and compliance. The ideal candidate thrives in a technical environment and is adept at both physical organization and administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory of hardware components, equipment, products, and other supplies in the lab and storage.
  • Use the different platforms to select and procure new equipment, spare parts, and supplies.
  • Support and enable the team by ensuring all supplies are stocked and available when needed.
  • Organize the lab layout and move robots, equipment, and inventory as required.
  • Deploy and manage compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the lab and its equipment.
  • Assist with all inventory software development and updates.
  • Perform shipping and receiving tasks.
  • Supplier enrollment support.
  • Generation of purchase orders and reviewing invoices.
  • Purchasing system troubleshooting

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in inventory control, purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a technical, engineering, or laboratory setting.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and bug tracking systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with a meticulous approach to data entry, stocking, and physical asset management.
  • Experience with administrative tasks such as generating purchase orders and reviewing invoices.
