Overview:
The Inventory Specialist (IS) plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, availability, readiness of mobility equipment and related supplies. This position is responsible for managing incoming, stored, and outgoing inventory to support timely patient deliveries and service. By maintaining proper stock levels, ensuring equipment is assembled and operational, and collaborating closely with office filed operations, sales, and corporate teams, the Inventory Specialist helps drive smooth operations and excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Ordering
  • Order approved patient specific equipment
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of standard equipment through min/max
  • Update the equipment ordering queue in Sales Pilot

Purchasing & Inventory Performance Metrics
  • Partner with the Branch Manager to achieve purchasing and inventory-related goals
  • Run and review asset and purchase order (PO) reports to ensure appropriate inventory levels biweekly
  • Identify aging inventory units and coordinate with Branch Managers, ATPs and other offices to transfer and/or utilize available units

Warehouse Management & Organization
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with company policies and accreditation guidelines
  • Complete parts installation, modifications, and retrofitting as required to meet patient needs and product standards
  • Clean and test all equipment, when applicable, and document according to safety, quality and regulatory standards prior to patient delivery
  • Ensure equipment is stored properly to prevent damage, loss, or delays.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Tech Support
  • Communicate effectively with Office Assistants, Delivery Technicians, Sales, and corporate teams to support timely deliveries and service.
  • Provide proactive updates regarding inventory availability, delays, or issues impacting patient delivery timelines.
  • Serve as backup Delivery Technician when needed, as directed by Branch Manager and HR approval.
