Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Purchase parts from manufacturers and suppliers as well as acquiring parts from other resources in order to maintain inventory levels appropriate for operations at assigned shops.
  • Issue purchase orders and purchase parts for maintenance shops in assigned region.
  • Monitor inventory items to identify high volume parts as well as obsolescence parts and maintain proper inventory levels. Adhere to standard internal control procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely ordering, shipping, tracking, and receiving of parts.
  • Maintain and update auto-generated parts procedures as necessary.
  • Monitor and handle parts returns.
  • Review warranty tags, store and organize returned parts and conduct follow up to ensure returned parts are handled appropriately.
  • Collaborate with internal department personnel and outside shippers/vendors as necessary.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring
  • 2+ years' experience in parts or inventory control required.
  • Previous experience in transportation industry preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be proficient in looking up parts and placing online orders using appropriate OEM websites websites.
  • Must be able to read and understand parts manuals.
  • Must possess excellent data entry skills.
  • Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
