The Role:

We are seeking a reliable and organized and detail-oriented Inventory & Purchasing Analyst to join our team. This role is integral to our day-to-day inventory and purchasing operations. The ideal candidate will manage and monitor inventory levels, evaluate inventory reconciliations and adjustments, process purchase orders, and maintain accurate, up-to-date records — all while ensuring stock availability is balanced against carrying costs.

We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented and analytically minded, communicates clearly across teams, and brings a solid understanding of supply chain principles. Success in this role means driving accuracy and efficiency in inventory management while proactively identifying opportunities to reduce costs. This is an opportunity for a long-term position with a growing company.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and submit purchase orders for inventory replenishment under the direction of a supervisor
  • Prepare analytical reports as necessary for all inventory and procurement functions
  • Request quotes from vendors and assist with comparing pricing and terms
  • Track and monitor inventory levels, flagging low stock or discrepancies as needed
  • Research inventory reconciliations and adjustments to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records in the company’s systems
  • Communicate with vendors regarding order status, pricing discrepancies, delivery schedules, and basic inquiries
  • Generate routine inventory and purchasing reports for review by management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including purchasing, sales, and logistics to optimize inventory and procurement processes
  • Support the purchasing and inventory team with administrative tasks as needed
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and compliance standards

Requirements and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or coursework in business or a related field is a plus
  • Advanced Excel experience is a must.
  • Prior experience in a purchasing, inventory, warehouse, or administrative support role preferred
  • Basic understanding of purchasing and inventory processes
  • Comfortable using computer systems and spreadsheets; experience with inventory or purchasing software is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well with vendors and internal teams
  • Ability to stay organized and manage routine tasks efficiently
