NR Consulting is currently seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Coordinator for an opportunity in Tuscaloosa, AL โ€“ Onsite!


Position Title: Purchasing Coordinator

Location: Tuscaloosa, AL โ€“ Onsite

Anticipated Start Date: 09/14/2026.

Job Type: Fulltime Permanent Role/Direct Hire

Salary Range: $55K - $65K/Annum plus Benefits

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Supply Chain/Purchasing team within a manufacturing environment. This position will maintain purchasing records, process documentation, update ERP information, assist with purchase orders, and support vendor order tracking to help ensure timely material availability for manufacturing operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review purchase orders and related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Update pricing, costing, and expected delivery information in the companyโ€™s ERP system.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, files, and documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain open purchase order reports.
  • Track supplier promised delivery dates against actual receipt dates.
  • Assist with vendor performance reporting and related purchasing metrics.
  • Process approved purchase orders for subcontractors and service providers.
  • Enter and maintain purchasing information within ERP and related business systems.
  • Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to support accurate purchasing and receiving processes.
  • Assist the Purchasing/Supply Chain team with administrative and clerical activities as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in clerical, administrative, purchasing, inventory or supply chain support is preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience working with an ERP system is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn new software and business processes quickly.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to meet the requirements of an onsite manufacturing environment.
