Job description

Summary/ Objective: Provides clerical support relating to support of purchasing, processing purchase orders and maintaining records as needed. This position also requires proper maintenance of central stores inventory and ordering

Essential Functions (but are not limited to):

  • Ensures safety of self and others by following all Safety Policies/Procedures and wearing all required PPE.
  • Provides administrative and clerical support specifically related to purchasing and sales department activities and project.
  • Maintains files, logs, records, purchase orders and other related documentation.
  • Maintains information on computer systems.
  • Assists in processing orders or administrative processes
  • Interpersonal skills appropriate for the retrieval and distribution of materials in the storeroom to all requestors
  • May contact vendors to obtain prices or arrange for product delivery timing
  • May develop and maintain resources for assigned commodity items.
  • Prepares standard requests for quotation.
  • May be responsible for RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) program - maintaining data, receiving certificates.
  • Handling incoming materials for central stores, ensuring compliance to department procedure.
  • Entering material receipts in Plex.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
  • Regular attendance is required

Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • Computer skills are required including Microsoft Office.
  • Good communication and organizational skills, including managing files & inventory correctly

Preferred Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • Experience in coordinating purchasing activities desired.
  • Plex experience is a plus.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
