SALARY RANGE: 26.99 - 40.49HOURLY
General Summary:
Perform Electroencephalograms, Evoked Potentials, and Intraoperative Monitoring under the direct supervision of a Registered EEG Technologist and/or a Neurologist or Neurosurgeon.
Responsibilities:
1. Efficiently schedules and accurately performs all Neurodiagnostic testing modalities to include: EEGs, TCDs, LTM, EMGs (out-patient Neurology) and ICU monitoring procedures.
2. Accurately and properly documents information on the patient's medical record and test that include: type of test, date, time, initials, physician order, patient events, technical difficulties, and anything that prevents completion of the test.
3. Accurately utilizes, troubleshoots, and has a working knowledge of all Neurodiagnostic equipment.
4. Accurately performs impedance testing and monitors all other quality control measures. For EMGs, performs Nerve Conduction Study on patients and assists the Doctor with EMG.
5. Accurately explains test procedure to patient, monitors test data, prepares the final technical report, sends study to physician for interpretation, and appropriately charges patient for the procedure.
6. Clean and stock assigned exam room at the beginning of the shift.
7. Submit requests for inventory purchases; assist with weekly billing reports and monthly statistical reports.
8. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities
Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
    ;
  • Credential(s): Basic Life Support
    Electroencephalography Certified Tech within 3months of hire
    Or 250 hours basic Neurodiagnostic on the job training, within first 90 days of hire.
  • Experience: Preferred: 1 year Neurodiagnostic Experience.
