What is a Prospecting job?

A Prospecting job involves identifying and reaching out to potential customers or clients to generate new business opportunities. This role typically includes researching leads, making initial contact through calls or emails, and qualifying prospects to determine their interest and fit. Prospectors often work in sales or business development teams and play a crucial role in building a company’s pipeline. Strong communication and persistence are key skills for success in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Prospecting position, and why are they important?

To excel in Prospecting, strong communication, research abilities, and persistence are essential, often supported by experience in sales or business development. Familiarity with CRM systems, lead generation tools, and email outreach platforms is frequently required. Job description

Windermere Careers is hiring a Prospecting Recruiter who will support the Windermere Recruiting Team in their recruiting and staffing efforts.  This position will require results-driven work and a desire to find the best candidates for approximately 300 Windermere Offices.  Our recruiting team interviews 150+ candidates per month. There is a quota associated with the performance of this position. Most of this role will require high-volume outbound prospecting through social media, texting, calling, real estate schools, and other prospecting services that we utilize. The end goal is to fill our recruiters' calendars with interview appointments. This position offers a clear upward career path for individuals who are interested in recruiting careers if they hit their prospecting goals.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Recruiter: Prospecting at least 200 or more recruits a day, through cold calls, text, and email, and follow up with warm leads with a goal of setting up interviews for the recruiting team to interview.
  • Pipeline Builder: Using our resources to build and maintain a continuous flow of candidates.
  • Reliable Responder: Promptly replying to team members, branch managers/owners, and prospective recruits.
  • Consistent Collaborator: Communicating constantly and effectively with team members, ensuring the integrity of applicant tracking system data. Be self-driven.
  • Team Player: Building relationships with our managers, understanding their business needs, and earning their trust to help them achieve our team's recruiting goals.
  • Technology adopter: Achieving success by effectively using business analysis and communication tools, Zoom, ATS, CRM(s), and specialty platforms.
  • Organizational skills: You will be working in many markets, thousands of prospects, with many reps and decision makers, which requires you to be on top of your game.
  • Forward thinking: Take ownership in growing this initiative by making it better.  Nurture candidates, market knowledge of competitors and real estate market conditions, and get reviews on our company's job board pages.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in the recruiting/sourcing industry. Knowledge of Boolean search strings. Real estate knowledge a plus.
  • Solution-based: Our department is growing at a rapid pace, and we need someone who can keep up with the pace and continue to push it forward.
  • Computer skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, collaborative tools, social media platforms, recruiting tools, ATS and CRM systems.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and listening skills to convincingly sell our opportunity.
  • Collaboration: Our success is a group effort and requires all of us to show up as the best version of ourselves every day.
  • Education: B.A. or B.S. Preferred but not required
  • Mindset: Coachable leader that understands scalable environments and growth initiatives

Benefits

  • Benefits
  • Up to 3 weeks PTO
  • Performance based bonuses
  • Health Insurance
  • 401K Program
  • Estimated Salary between $50,000 to $60,000 (DOE)
