Equal Access is partnering with a well-established affordable housing property management organization with a portfolio spanning the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. The firm develops and manages a diverse mix of multifamily properties supported by programs including LIHTC, HOME, and project-based vouchers (PBV). As the portfolio continues to grow, they are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support day-to-day property operations.
Position SummaryThe Property Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Property Management team, ensuring the efficient coordination of inspections, work orders, and maintenance activities. This role serves as a key liaison between tenants, vendors, and internal teams, helping maintain property standards and deliver a high level of service.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with RealPage or similar property management systems is preferred. This role reports to the Sr. Property Manager, with direct oversight from the Sr. Property Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate all building inspections, including Section 8, HPD, insurance, and partner/syndicator inspections in collaboration with the Sr. Property Manager and Sr. Property Coordinator
Manage and track work orders through RealPage (or similar system), ensuring accurate documentation and timely completion
Dispatch maintenance requests to supers, vendors, and contractors, and monitor progress through completion
Partner with the Sr. Property Coordinator and legal team to ensure court stipulations are addressed, including completion of required repairs and proper documentation
Communicate with tenants, internal teams, and vendors via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams to coordinate maintenance and service requests
Conduct consistent follow-up with maintenance staff, supers, and vendors to ensure deadlines and service standards are met
Confirm completion of repairs with tenants and ensure satisfaction with work performed
Maintain a high level of customer service in all tenant and stakeholder interactions
Communicate with building supers regarding potential capital improvement needs identified during inspections
Support day-to-day operations with additional administrative or operational tasks as assigned
QualificationsBilingual in English and Spanish (required)
1–2 years of property management or related experience preferred
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with the ability to prioritize effectively
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Familiarity with RealPage or similar property management software (preferred, not required)
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or PowerPoint is a plus
