Who are you?

We are seeking an experienced Cost / Finance professional with a strong background in developing business requirements and Power BI reporting solutions. This role will support corporate, financial reporting, and performance analytics on a major capital project, playing a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making, governance, and performance management.

The ideal candidate brings demonstrated experience in cost control and/or project finance within mining (preferred), oil & gas, or large-scale construction environments, combined with intermediate Power BI capabilities and a solid understanding of data modelling, KPI development, and reporting frameworks.

Job Description

As Cost Controller - Reporting & Analytics you will:

  • Support requirement definition, develop business process maps and any training material for Corporate reporting dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards that provide clear, decision-ready insights across cost, commitments, cash flow, and performance metrics
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and customized reports to support executive and operational decision making
  • Translate complex project data (SAP/ERP, cost systems, procurement, and schedule inputs) into structured, reliable reporting outputs
  • Define and maintain KPIs, including tolerance thresholds, and support performance tracking aligned to Finance governance and review processes
  • Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, and alignment across multiple data sources and reporting layers
  • Support monthly reporting cycles, including preparation of finance review materials, variance commentary, and risk identification
  • Collaborate with Corporate functions, and operational teams to align reporting with business processes and decision-making needs
  • Continuously improve reporting efficiency by reducing manual processes and enhancing automation and standardization
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in cost control, project finance, or financial analysis within mining, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of project financial processes including cost control, forecasting, earned value, commitments, accruals, and cash flow
  • Intermediate Power BI skills, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design
  • Experience working with ERP systems ( SAP is preferrable)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop KPIs and performance reporting frameworks that support governance and decision-making
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present insights to senior stakeholders
  • Experience in a project-based environment is highly preferred
  • High engagement and proactive attitude that thrives is a high pace environment
