Job description

Ledcor is hiring a Project Coordinator to support our Highway Maintenance team in Leduc. This is a hands-on, site-level role ideal for those seeking to build a career in construction supervision and operations management.
As a Project Coordinator, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of highway maintenance and construction projects. You'll play a key role in all aspects of operations, including quality control, estimating, contract administration, crew management, equipment operations, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of office processes: subcontract management; change orders; RFIs (request for information); estimates & purchase orders and financial reporting

  • Learn technical and operational aspects of highway maintenance

  • Support safe and efficient work practices; promote a positive safety culture

  • Conduct quality inspections, audits, and materials testing

  • Analyze operational data (e.g., storm response, patrols, drainage, vegetation)

  • Build relationships, influence key stakeholders and proactively participate in discussions

  • Manage quality documentation, procurement tasks, and project reporting

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of related experience in project coordination, management or a combination of education and field exposure

  • CET or EIT designation is a nice to have but not required

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented and proactive

  • Familiarity with construction documentation, RFIs, subcontracts, and purchase orders

  • Ability to problem solve on the fly

  • A high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and scheduling tools

  • Flexibility to travel to other locations

  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

  • Valid driver's license with clear 3-year abstract

Work Conditions:

  • Monday to Friday schedule based in our office in Leduc

  • Travel required (up to 20%) to other shop locations within Alberta
