Most of our solutions are related to Energy Transition and carbon reduction industries. POSITION OVERVIEW:
Startec Compression & Process is currently recruiting a B-Pressure Vessel Welder to work at our Shepard Shop (9423 Shepard Rd SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 4R6). The B-Pressure Vessel Welder's main responsibilities will include welding metal pressure vessels based on drawings provided, using techniques that adhere to all specifications for vessels, piping, and welding assembly. Shift Details: 4:30 p.m. -2:20 a.m.QUALIFICATIONS:
- Journeyman trades certificate (preferably welding or pipe fitting)
- 2+ years of experience in vessel welding is required
- B-Pressure Certificate
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
- Ability to pass a pre-employment functional, alcohol, and drug
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):
VESSELS- Must have experience with fabrication and welding of pressure vessels
- Read prints, layout, fit, and weld as required
- Experience with SMAW, GMAW, FCAW/GTAW weld processes
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Rigging along with the use of overhead and jib cranes
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Participate in safety and company programs
- Team player with positive engagement
- Participate in project reviews with engineering & drafting
