Job description

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Project Assistant for a position located in Akron, Ohio. The Project Assistant will work with SCADA engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.

The candidate must be a US Citizen or a green card holder, the position is not eligible for sponsorship. The candidate should have a High School Degree and 3 years relevant experience.

Local candidates preferred or open to relocation. This is not a remote position.

Project Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Verify project scope, work orders, change tickets, and RTU outage requests prior to SCADA testing and commissioning.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve project issues as they arise.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the client and provide necessary information as requested.
  • Verify SCADA configurations are ready before the field project date.
  • Confirm EMS upload dates occur before the field project date.
  • Coordinate with EMS testers to assign testers for each SCADA job.
  • Provide regular project updates and maintain accurate job completion status for each job.
  • Schedule field technicians to capture as-found configurations when requested by the engineering department.
  • Verify all contracted SCADA jobs for the upcoming week with the Project Manager and field personnel.
  • Request site access for contracted SCADA techs.
  • Assist the field tech finding the correct U-drive folder for SCADA jobs.
  • Edit and create documents for Technician Project Reports based on technician feedback.
  • Assist technicians with paperwork and answer any questions.
  • Verify and record the submission and accuracy of project reports using an Excel spreadsheet.

Requirements of the Project Assistant:

  • High School Degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Or an Associate’s and 2 years relevant experience.
  • Or a Bachelor’s and relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required.
  • Power BI experience is a plus.
