The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Project Analyst. The Project Analyst will support project managers and leadership teams in planning, executing, and monitoring project costs, budgets, and financial requirements. Using data-driven insights, you will track project performance, identify risks or variances, and help ensure projects are delivered within contractual, budgetary, and financial expectations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers to build budgets and align resources with project needs.
  • Develop financial forecasts and recommend cost-saving or efficiency measures when appropriate.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Compare actual costs against estimates to identify variances and potential risks.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards that provide visibility into project performance.
  • Assist in reviewing and approving vendor invoices.
  • Work with pricing, contracts and procurement in securing necessary project support requirements.
  • Conduct monthly budget review meetings with project managers and any other stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain financial reports.

Requirements:

  • (3-5) years of experience in finance/accounting in a government contracting environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft tools with intermediate to high proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred:

  • Deltek CostPoint experience

Required Education and Certifications:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited school or 3-5 years of finance, accounting, project analyst experience.
