Millennium Space Systems (MSS) has an exciting opportunity for Program Schedulers(Level 3 or Level 4) to join the MSS team in El Segundo, CA!

We are seeking Program Schedulers (Level 3 or Level 4). In this role, you will work with the program team to develop, baseline, and analyze the program schedule. You are the person who needs to help ensure the appropriate level of planning and scheduling functionality is applied to support all program activities through all phases of the program. You will maintain program schedules and deliverables, assist in developing alternatives to accommodate changes to the program plan and communicate any deviations of the current plan to the program team, and lead planning exercises. You will work closely with members of each program team,product development, and program controllersto ensureour systems meet all requirements and achieve all milestones, while staying on time and on budget.This is an onsite role in El Segundo, California.

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Perform studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
  • Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
  • Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Some hybrid flexibility may be available based on business needs)

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in performing project planning and scheduling within an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (or equivalent tools), with the ability to perform calculations and analyze data in Excel
  • 1+ years of experience with standard project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project and Project Server
  • Experience in a role that required teaming and collaboration skills, and ability to work well with a geographically dispersed cross-functional and matrix team
  • Good Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Experience in a role that required creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, strong collaborative skills, strong written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor'sdegree or higher
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical/cost/schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Experience with aerospace environments especially other than traditional, large prime contractors
  • Experience with Intelligence Community and Department of Defense customer communities and their project management practices
  • AACE and / or PMI professional certifications
  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Level 3: $101,150-$136,850
