About AppDirect

Become a digital, global citizen and enable the new generation of digital entrepreneurs around the world. AppDirect offers a subscription commerce platform to sell any product, through any channel, on any device - as a service. We power millions of subscriptions worldwide for organizations. We do this by our values-driven culture-one that enables you to Be Seen, Be Yourself, and Do Your Best Work.

About Microsoft Cloud Business Unit

The Junior Microsoft Program Manager will join our growing cloud ecosystem team, reporting directly to the Manager, Microsoft Business & Strategy. In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with our Microsoft Business Manager to help execute the overall growth strategy, operational direction, and channel distribution of Microsoft solutions through the AppDirect marketplace platform.

About You

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and ambitious Junior Microsoft Program Manager. This is a junior-level career track designed for someone who already understands the basic mechanics of Microsoft licensing and the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program but wants to master ecosystem sales. You will act as the operational anchor-liaising with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), coordinating with our channel advisor community, and ensuring our Microsoft catalog is flawlessly executed and optimized for revenue. You should be highly coachable, possessing a strong desire to take direction from a veteran manager, absorb industry best practices, and rapidly scale into an autonomous product specialist. You are a proactive communicator who is comfortable interacting with software developers, enterprise account managers, and third-party IT advisors alike.

What you'll do and how you'll have an impact
  • Operational Strategy & Execution: Take direct daily instruction from the Microsoft Business Manager to support high-level growth initiatives, partner promotions, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Catalog & Program Maintenance: Ensure all Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) offerings, New Commerce Experience (NCE) updates, and perpetual software SKUs are accurately represented within the AppDirect ecosystem.
  • Licensing Assistance: Assist channel managers and partners with basic Microsoft tenant configuration inquiries, license migration pathways, and pricing verification.
  • Ecosystem Bundling: Collaborate with complementary Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) in our catalog to build attractive "Microsoft + SaaS" product bundles (e.g., security, backup, or AI add-ons) that increase overall deal size.
  • Program Execution: Understand the Microsoft Solution Area(s) and execute the program enablement to support deal flow and deal optimization. Track deal utilization, assist the manager in coordinating with new ISVs looking to integrate into our marketplace, track onboarding milestones, and prepare sales enablement documentation.
  • Incentive Tracking: Track Microsoft partner incentives, regional rebate structures, and vendor-driven SPIFFs to maximize corporate profitability.
What we're looking for
  • Prior Experience: 1-3 years of experience working within a technology channel environment (MSP, TSD/Master Agent, VAR, or Cloud Distributor).
  • Ecosystem Exposure: Prior experience interacting with ISVs (Independent Software Vendors) or participating in multi-vendor technology sales is heavily preferred.
  • Microsoft Literacy: A solid foundational understanding of Microsoft's inner workings, including knowledge of what a "Tenant" is, understanding the concept of "Seat Licenses," and a baseline familiarity with the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) framework.
  • Obsessive Attention to Detail: Absolute precision in tracking data is mandatory due to Microsoft licensing involving thousands of line items, precise SKUs, and strict contract terms (NCE 1-month vs. 12-month, etc.).
  • Platform Aptitude: Experience with digital commerce/marketplace platforms (AppDirect, Salesforce CPQ, CloudBlue, or Microsoft Partner Center) is a massive plus.
  • Certifications (Highly Regarded but not required): Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900).
