Job description

Introduction
Maryland's Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program is one of Maryland's most significant new public benefit programs, providing workers with the financial security to care for themselves and their loved ones during life's most important moments. We're building something that will serve millions of Marylanders for years to come - and we're looking for passionate, innovative people who want to help shape its future. If you're energized by solving complex problems, collaborating with talented colleagues, and making a lasting public impact, we'd love to have you on our team. We need a leader with strong data analytical skills to detect claim anomalies and identify fictitious employers to prevent claim payments from ending up in the hands of malicious actors. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of fraud prevention best practices from across the public and private sectors who is up for the challenge of building an innovative and effective fraud prevention operation from the ground up. If you're passionate about making a meaningful impact and are eager to join a government team that moves at the speed of a startup, this may be the career-defining job you've been looking for.
