What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Program Integrity Director, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Program Integrity Director, you need expertise in compliance, risk management, regulatory analysis, and a relevant degree such as in business administration, public policy, or law. Familiarity with data analytics tools, case management systems, and certifications like Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) are often important. Strong leadership, ethical judgment, and effective communication skills are crucial for building trust and guiding teams through complex investigations. These skills ensure the organization maintains regulatory compliance, prevents fraud, and promotes operational transparency.

Their work is crucial for maintaining public trust and ensuring resources are used appropriately.

Job description

Make a Massive Impact: Lead the Magic at SummerCollab!
As our Director of Programs, you are the heartbeat of our daily operations and a vital visionary on our executive leadership team. This isn't a passive desk job; you will be right in the center of the energy, driving excellence across all programs.
You will get to blend high-level strategy with real-world impact. One day you'll be mentoring an incredibly passionate team of educators and AmeriCorps members; the next, you'll be collaborating with school districts, mapping out long-term growth with our CEO, or shaping the very budget that makes these life-changing experiences possible.
SummerCollab differentiates itself from traditional out-of-school programs by operating as an educational accelerator rather than a standard recreation camp. Instead of hosting isolated programs, it embeds data-driven literacy interventions and academic resources directly into existing community camps, effectively turning them into high-impact learning sites. Through specialized initiatives like Tyler's Camp LitCorps, and CollabClub, SummerCollab pairs rigorous, evidence-based reading curricula with enriching electives and mentorship. Ultimately, while typical programs focus primarily on safe engagement, SummerCollab specifically engineers its ecosystem to combat summer learning loss and close the achievement gap for all students.
What You'll Champion:
  • Inspire & Mentor: Lead, support, and uplift a dedicated team of program staff and AmeriCorps members, giving them the tools and confidence to shine.
  • Build Bridges: Cultivate deep, trusted partnerships with local school districts, community leaders, and families to expand our reach and make sure no child is left behind.
  • Keep Us Strong & Compliant: Ensure our programs run smoothly, safely, and with the highest level of integrity according to state and federal licensing standards.
  • Shape the Future: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with our executive team on strategic growth, continuous improvement, and the exciting roadmap for scaling our impact.

Who You Are
You are an exceptional leader who balances a big heart with top-tier execution skills. You're the kind of person who walks into a room and instantly lifts the energy, but you also have the sharp organizational mind needed to manage complex moving pieces.
You're our ideal leader if:
  • You are fiercely dedicated to youth advocacy. You deeply believe in student-centered learning and have a track record of working with kids (especially grades K-8).
  • You love to grow and help others do the same. You bring a growth mindset, welcome feedback, and know how to foster a diverse, inclusive, and joyful work culture.
  • You thrive in dynamic environments. Fast-paced days don't rattle you. You are an adaptive problem-solver who can make smart, confident decisions on the fly.
  • You have the experience to back it up. You bring a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and at least 3+ years of management or project leadership experience. If you have a background in non-profits, education equity, or AmeriCorps grants, that's a massive plus!

What We Offer
  • A Mission That Matters: The chance to do deeply rewarding work alongside a brilliant, fun, and fiercely supportive team.
  • Compensation: A competitive salary commensurate with the leadership, heart, and expertise you bring to the table.
  • Time to Recharge: Full-time, year-round benefits including paid holidays, vacation, sick, and personal days.
  • A Vibrant Environment: This role requires you to be fully present and on-site daily in Wilmington and at our active program locations-putting you right where the magic happens every single day.

Ready to Lead the Movement?
If you are ready to use your leadership gifts to change trajectories for kids across Delaware, we want to meet you.
SummerCollab is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer committed to building a diverse, equitable, and beautifully inclusive workplace. Employment offers are contingent upon the satisfactory completion of required background checks.
