Senior Learning Program Development Specialist

Company:

The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Apprenticeship core team is seeking experienced, highly motivated individuals to join our team as a Senior Learning Program Development Specialist.

This role is multifaceted so the ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge and experience in the Manufacturing, Quality, and Safety domain. We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Electrical/Mechanic Learning Program Development Specialists to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidates will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning programs focused on the Mechanical/Electrical manufacturing processes. These roles require a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, strong project management skills, and the ability to design and develop effective training programs.

This opportunity is available in any of the following locations: Berkeley, MO; Mesa, AZ; El Segundo; CA; Huntsville, AL; or San Antonio, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic learning programs in one of the areas of structures, mechanical or electrical manufacturing domain and align to the appropriate processes, procedures, and organizational goals and objectives

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and create learning objectives

  • Design and develop engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, videos, and job aids

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback, and make necessary improvements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, production operations, and engineering, to ensure alignment and integration of the learning program with other organizational initiatives

  • Acknowledge budget, including vendor selection, to optimize resources and achieve cost-efficiency

  • Ensure Boeing learning content is aligned to the needs of the business and is compliant (FAA, OSHA, DOD, etc.)

  • Physical setup of training facilities

  • Able to travel 50% of the time

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • 3+ years of experience using curriculum management and/or Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies, systems and tools

  • Experience analyzing data and making data-driven decisions

  • Experience in building strong business relationships and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience managing ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced collaborative environment in support of multiple organizations

  • Capable of traveling up to 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field

  • Experience with learning management system (LMS) course and curricula architecture, curricula management, curation, and course maintenance

  • Experience in designing and developing training programs in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on structures/mechanical domain

  • Experience with Project / Program leadership

  • Experience with e-learning platforms and multimedia tools

  • Experience creating and delivering Stakeholder and Executive briefings

  • Experience with Quality Management System and Material Review process

  • Critical Evaluation Skills

  • Experience using the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM)
