Job Description:

Are you passionate about life sciences, sales, and cutting-edge biotechnology? Do you enjoy engaging with researchers and scientists to help advance groundbreaking discoveries? This role is your opportunity to play a key part inexpanding Sino Biological’s footprint while traveling across Southern California’svibrant biotech hubs—from San Diego’s booming life sciences scene to the renowned institutions of Los Angeles and the Bay Area.

As a Application Scientist, you’ll drive sales growth, engage with top-tier research organizations, and provide expert technical support for our reagents and contract research services.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading Territory Bulk Sales:

  • Lead Territory Bulk Sales efforts and guide team members in designing effective pricing and negotiation strategies for bulk sales.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales Team & CRO team) to ensure seamless coordination from inquiry to order fulfillment.

Departmental-Level Programs and Projects:

  • Execute departmental-level programs and projects to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Work with the Global Product & Marketing Team to improve existing marketing materials and identify new application trends for sustainable business growth.

Field Engagement and Technical Support:

  • Attend field roadshows, engage in bulk order negotiations, and provide technical support to clients.
  • Utilize professional scientific knowledge to present Sino's technical platforms and support the sales team in identifying potential key clients and developing opportunities with an application focus.

Application Notes and Cross-Sale Responsibility:

  • Develop application notes, sales tips, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides to enhance customer engagement and product understanding.
  • Drive cross-sale initiatives by strategically promoting catalog reagents and CRO services.

Team Collaboration and Sales Goal Achievement:

  • Collaborate closely with Sales and CRO teams to achieve territory sales goals.
  • Monitor and oversee daily sales and technical support activities in the assigned territory, ensuring comprehensive solutions and escalating issues where warranted.

Training and Development:

At Sino Biological, we are committed to fostering the growth and development of our team members. This role includes a comprehensivetraining program, with a rotation program typically starting in the second year to provide a well-rounded understanding of the company’s products, services, and technical platforms.

Requirements:

  • PhD degree or MSc degree with 3 years working experiences in Life Sciences, Biology, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous industry working experience with Sales function within the life science industry, preferably with exposure to reagents and contract research services (Preferred).
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong technical background and understanding of biological research, drug discovery, and diagnostics field, and the relevant technologies, products, and services.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • At least 25% of business traveling is required for customer visits.
  • Must be able to lift and move 25-50 lbs.
