- Other duties as required or assigned.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge and understanding of Metis culture, history, values, and land-based ways of knowing.
- Strong program coordination and facilitation skills, with the ability to design, deliver, and support initiatives from implementation to evaluation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, contributing ideas, supporting co-workers, and sharing responsibility for program delivery.
- Culturally responsive, compassionate, and respectful approach when working with Metis families, communities, and colleagues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and external community partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and database applications. Meticulous records maintenance skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong sense of ethics, with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including professional email etiquette and the ability to contribute to clear program documentation, reports, and resource materials.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
- Strong conflict resolution skills.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Early Learning, Human or Social Services, or related field (equivalent experiences will be considered).
- Two to three years' experience in a similar role is an asset.
- Experience supporting or delivering community-based, mobile, or land-based programming.
