The group you'll be a part of
The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.
The impact you'll make
As a Global Product Support Engineer at Lam, you're the backbone of technical support for field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel. Your expertise is crucial in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex semiconductor equipment. Your swift action in responding to situations is critical in resolving issues and ensuring satisfaction of Lam's valued customers.
What you'll do
Job Responsibilities
  • Process/Productivity engineer who will provide technical support to field process engineers, and product support personnel that are troubleshooting Etch chambers for gaps in process capability, chamber matching, defect, and yield failure issues
  • Reports process related enhancement, continuous design improvements to engineering group
  • Supports first in Fab customers with process qualification
  • Provides training Field Service engineers and provides BKM documents
  • Travel up to 15%

Leadership
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead specific projects
  • Works with cross-functional teams to get information and results needed to deliver results

Customer Relations
  • Professionally represents the company to the customer. Utilize knowledge of company's product lines and services to keep existing/ potential customers informed when new/ additional needs are identified
  • Actively addresses any potential issues at the customer site and provide alternative solutions.

Drive implementation of new solutions for the customer
Who we're looking for
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ability to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs and deadlines
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent people skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal and external partners

Preferred qualifications
  • Etch process engineering experience
  • Experience with Lam 's Etch products
  • Semiconductor fab experience is required
  • Collaboration/ Matrix environment

'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
Salary
CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $125,000.00 - $270,000.00.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
