Position: Production Operations Coordinator
Location: Santa Monica, CA (On-Site)
Hours of Operation: 1:30pm - 10:00pm
*Pay Range: $22.00 - $28.00 USD hourly
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Production Operations Coordinator is the point of contact for producers/project managers and internal production personnel for production related workflow, Room setups, and Virtuals.
MAIN DUTIES:
The Production Operations Coordinator will handle day to day operations of our Santa Monica Studio. They will stay abreast of issues on the floor and as appropriate, elevate pertinent information to Producers, artists, and assists promptly. They will communicate and escalate concerns pertaining to project delivery or client satisfaction to Producers and Head of Production on an immediate basis. They will take immediate action with any anticipated delays by alerting the respective Producers and artists, as appropriate. They will attend daily production meetings and provide departmental updates. Other duties include:
  • Ensure productions adhere to approved workflows while maintaining high-quality control standards.
  • Manage virtual sessions for all Lines of Business.
  • Maintain the day of schedule for Santa Monica Studio.
  • Manage studio resources which include: monitors, color panels, Resolves/Baselights/Lustre.
  • Collaborate with Company 3 studios in: Hollywood, UK, NY, Toronto, Vancouver, and Atlanta.
  • Help support new processes and maintain proficiency with evolving technical applications and trends with the company workflow.
  • Maintain outstanding levels of oversight of deliverables manufactured within the feature finishing process.
  • Work as part of a collaborative team. Document workflows and help train incoming new hires.

WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with strong interpersonal / problem-solving skills and superior client service skills. They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a good command of the English language. They will bring resourcefulness and exceptional time management skills. They will have high attention to detail with a strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve on the fly. They will be calm and personable under pressure, while working with tight deadlines. They will be adaptable to constantly evolving scenarios and being able to pivot as priorities change. They will have strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. The ideal candidate will also bring the following:
  • Demonstrated experience working in a high paced post-production environment.
  • Knowledge of long-form file-based and HDR workflows and delivery requirements.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a high paced team with varying skill and experience levels.
  • Proven and strong communications skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate, assertively and diplomatically with a diverse population.
  • Solutions-focused approach to challenges and conflicts.
  • Understanding Davinci Resolve is recommended.
  • Excellent typing skills.
  • Can lift/carry items that weigh up to 25lbs.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts.
  • Ability to work overtime with little or no notice.
  • Must be able to work offsite or out of our Hollywood studio on an as needed basis.
  • Must be able to work overtime and on weekends, as necessary.
  • Must be able to work variable shifts, as needed.
  • This is not a remote position and will require working in our Santa Monica or Hollywood studio on a regular basis.
