Procurement & Operations Manager – Lead End-to-End FF&E and Interior Renovation Logistics


Job Overview

  • Company: TCC
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $100,000 - $157,800 per year (Including performance-based variable pay).
  • Location: Hybrid (3 days in-office / 2 days remote) – New Jersey.
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday.
  • Project Scope: Commercial Interior Design-Build / Renovations.
  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle.


The Opportunity

You will serve as the company’s primary authority on product sourcing and logistics, owning the full procurement lifecycle for high-end commercial FF&E. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a cross-functional team to execute the "Transaction Fast Lane" and ensure complex projects are delivered on time and within margin. This role offers the autonomy to build strategic vendor partnerships and shape the operational engine of a premier design-build firm.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Direct the full procurement lifecycle for FF&E and specialty finishes from initial selection through site delivery.
  • Develop and lead a tiered vendor strategy to balance high-design quality with aggressive cost-saving for commodity items.
  • Manage and hold the Transaction Team accountable for the end-to-end execution of projects under $100K.
  • Set the product training agenda for design staff to ensure specification decisions align with vendor capabilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement workflows and logistics planning to prevent project delays.
  • Oversee critical business operations including facilities maintenance, benefits administration, and licensing compliance.
  • Act as a mentor to develop the skills, confidence, and independence of the procurement and design support staff.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or operations management.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing direct reports or leading a corporate function.
  • Proven track record managing vendor relationships and procurement across 15+ concurrent projects.
  • Experience estimating, pricing, or managing project financials and margin targets.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or project management software like Asana or Monday.
  • Strong communication skills necessary for coordinating with designers, field staff, and external vendors.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Completion of technical training in commercial interiors, FF&E, or specialty finishes.
  • Working knowledge of freight logistics including Incoterms, FOB terms, and LTL shipping.
  • Demonstrated experience in a design-build firm, furniture dealership, or commercial general contracting.
  • Experience developing vendor scorecards, tiered sourcing strategies, or volume pricing programs.
