Job description

Process Specialist

Job Description

This Process Specialist role focuses on transforming complex technical processes into clear, engaging, and user-friendly training materials. You will convert detailed SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and equipment documentation into visual content—including short instructional videos—for use in an internal AI-based training platform. The position combines hands-on process and troubleshooting experience with strong communication and documentation skills to capture and standardize institutional knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex SOPs, technical documents, and troubleshooting content into simplified, visual learning formats that are easy for operators and technicians to understand.
  • Create short instructional videos that demonstrate equipment operation, setup procedures, and troubleshooting workflows in a clear and practical manner.
  • Film, edit, and assemble video content for upload into an internal AI-based training platform, ensuring high clarity and consistency.
  • Develop visual documentation such as flowcharts, diagrams, and annotated guides to support operator understanding of processes and equipment.
  • Interpret highly technical documentation, including translated and German materials, and ensure accurate application of this information in training content.
  • Partner closely with operators, technicians, and engineers to validate the accuracy of documented processes, troubleshooting steps, and training materials.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of documentation related to equipment setup, operation, and issue resolution within the Standard Solutions group.
  • Capture institutional knowledge from experienced personnel and convert it into reusable training assets to reduce knowledge loss and improve onboarding.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to continuously improve training materials based on feedback and evolving processes.
  • Ensure all training content is organized, consistent, and ready for integration into digital and AI-driven training platforms.

Essential Skills

  • Strong process and technical experience, which may come from maintenance, process, or mechanical disciplines.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with equipment and processes, with the ability to diagnose and explain issues clearly.
  • Technical or hands-on troubleshooting experience in environments such as manufacturing, engineering, or maintenance.
  • Proven ability to take complex technical information and communicate it in simple, visual formats such as videos, diagrams, and training materials.
  • Experience working with technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.
  • Comfort working around equipment and collaborating directly with operators, technicians, and engineers.
  • Basic experience with video creation and editing, or a strong willingness to learn these tools.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure training content is accurate, consistent, and easy to follow.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional technical teams.
  • Comfort with technology and digital tools used to create and manage training content.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in regulated environments such as pharmaceutical or GMP settings.
  • Exposure to AI tools or digital training platforms for content delivery and knowledge management.
  • Process engineering experience or familiarity with process optimization and standardization.
  • Technical writing skills for creating clear SOPs, work instructions, and supporting documentation.
  • Strong people skills to gather information from subject matter experts and translate it into structured training content.
  • Experience in training development, particularly video-based training, is a plus.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position working Monday through Friday on a day shift schedule. You will work in a technical environment around equipment and processes, collaborating closely with operators, technicians, and engineers. The role involves spending time on the production or equipment floor to observe processes, capture real-world workflows, and film instructional content, as well as working at a workstation to edit videos and develop visual documentation.
