POSITION: Business Process Re-Engineering Specialist
LOCATION: Dayton, Ohio, WPAFB
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret
POSITION TYPE/STANDARD WORK HOURS: Full time / 40 hours per week / On-Site
Overview:
BTAS is seeking a Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR) Specialist to analyze, design, and implement process improvements across diverse projects. This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional with experience supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) or similar organizations, and a strong background in data analytics, workflow optimization, and program management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct business process assessments, identify gaps, and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Optimize workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce redundancy, and improve mission outcomes.
  • Capture, analyze, and report key performance metrics to evaluate process effectiveness and drive decision-making.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with multiple stakeholders to gather input, build consensus, and drive alignment.
  • Solicit responses and feedback to ensure solutions meet customer and organizational needs.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships and rapport with customers and partners.
  • Use data analytics tools to measure efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • Support program management activities to align process improvements with organizational goals.
  • Apply industry best practices in continuous improvement and quality management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience working in DoD business processes and re-engineering.
  • 5+ years’ experience with the SharePoint environment and architecture
  • Experience working with or supporting AFRL programs preferred.
  • Proven track record in business process re-engineering, process improvement, quality management, and process documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of data analytics methodologies and tools (Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, ServiceNow).
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and program management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in government or defense contracting environments.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards, risk management, and performance measurement.
  • Advanced certifications such as PMP or equivalent.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May oversee process and development teams.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Professional office setting; standard office equipment used regularly.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (up to 80%).

TRAVEL:
Minimal travel required ( lt; 5%.)
