Job description

ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Process Analyst works directly within Project Operations to diagnose, design, and optimize the workflows that power Hut 8's data center and energy infrastructure delivery. This is an analytically driven role - part data analyst, part process engineer, part automation strategist. The Process Analyst maps how work actually flows across the organization, identifies where it breaks down, builds the case for change, and helps implement the solutions. This role ensures that Hut 8's operational processes evolve as fast as its portfolio does.

Key responsibilities include:
Map and analyze current project and company workflows end-to-end, producing clear visual documentation that identifies handoff points, dependencies, redundancies, and failure modes across the delivery lifecycle
Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in digital delivery, document control, and project coordination processes - translating qualitative observations and quantitative data into prioritized improvement recommendations
Develop automation strategies that reduce manual overhead across the organization, evaluating workflow automation platforms and partnering with internal stakeholders to scope, pilot, and implement solutions
Analyze project data to surface trends, measure process performance, and provide leadership with actionable intelligence on where the organization's workflows are working and where they're breaking down
Collaborate directly with department leadership to design and refine Hut 8's project delivery frameworks, ensuring that process standards are built on evidence and continuously improved through structured feedback loops
Build and maintain repeatable-use templates, workflow guides, and decision trees that codify best practices and reduce variability across the project portfolio
Own the lessons learned program - capturing institutional knowledge from project teams after key milestones and translating it into measurable process improvements
Support the development of process KPIs and reporting dashboards that track framework adoption, workflow efficiency, and automation impact across active programs
And other duties as assigned

ABOUT YOU
To thrive in this role, you bring:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
2+ years of experience in process analysis, business analysis, operational improvement, or project controls - industry background is flexible, but exposure to AEC, infrastructure, or capital project environments is a plus
Proficiency in data analysis tools including advanced Excel; experience with Power BI, SQL, or comparable analytics platforms is strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with process mapping and documentation tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro
Familiarity with workflow automation platforms such as Power Automate, Zapier, or similar tools, with the ability to evaluate, scope, and help implement automation opportunities
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, with comfort building and maintaining templates, trackers, and documentation within collaborative environments
Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies is a strong plus
Analytically rigorous with a natural ability to move between data analysis and practical process design
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
