SUMMARY: The Strategic Pricing Analyst role is responsible for proposing and developing pricing solutions for strategic accounts, supporting the Strategic Pricing Manager, and working directly with other departments in the development of pricing proposals and scenarios. The position also provides key analytical support as required to develop strategic customer pricing proposals. This Strategic Pricing Analyst will also support the general rate increase. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Create pricing proposals for both new and existing strategic accounts • Model multiple pricing scenarios using large data sets • Work with internal departments to identify costs for unique services • Recommend alternative pricing tactics on an account level • Provide information on specific domestic and cross-border products and pricing • Provide support for annual rate action process • Input customer rates for strategic accounts into SAP accurately and timely • Review and validate pricing quotes developed by Pricing Analysts to ensure accuracy and consistency with approved pricing guidelines • Support post implementation account audits and reporting • Respond timely and accurately to Sales requests • Assist with research and analysis of data in support of management decisions • Support general rate increase project with department’s senior management team • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred degrees: Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or Business Administration • 2 years of working experience in a similar role in pricing, engineering, or financial analytics is required • Experience in logistics industry strongly preferred • Experience with general rate increases strongly preferred • High proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, SAP, and Salesforce required; SQL preferred • Must be able to conduct presentations and coordinate meetings with multiple participants REQUIREMENTS: • Very strong analytical skills • Proactive in identifying and solving problems and recommending solutions to improve results • Modeling skills include data mining, and knowledge of advanced excel formulas and manipulating large/complex data sets • Experience in project management and resource management • Ability to develop and monitor standard operating procedures • Knowledge of logistics and transportation industry strongly preferred • Excellent communicator and ability to interface with all levels of management • Able to work well under pressure, perform and manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Conduct advanced research and analysis of data to support senior management in decision making
