The Opportunity:

The Pricing Consultant leads pricing development and deal level profit and loss analysis to ensure competitive market pricing for all core lines of business (LOB) and dozens of supporting solutions. Incumbent will interact with internal senior management, Client Growth Management, Sales, Product, and Finance to incorporate competitive and market pricing, and will develop pricing strategies to help win new business and retain existing clients. This position will be required to interact with Credit Unions and banks in tandem with Sales and Account Management teams and lead discovery and design sessions as needed to ensure customer pricing approach is aligned with customer product mix objectives.

Day In the Life:

  • Provide consultative support for Sales and Client Growth Management team on services to be utilized.

  • Identify expectations and preferences of pricing element structure. Partners with Business Development to generate price proposals for renewals and net new sales. Create pricing proposals aligned with findings from discovery calls, emails, or CRM entries.

  • Provides pricing guidance for renewals and net new deals, with a goal of maximizing profit margin while respecting competitive pressures.

  • Develop complex financial analyses, pro forma models, and presentations that support needs of Client Growth Management with renewals and new business

  • Partners with Business Development to generate price proposals for renewals and net new sales.Create pricing proposals aligned with findings from discovery calls, emails, or CRM entries.

  • Present full pricing and incentive proposals, dividends, and value propositions internally and externally as requested.

  • Develop, implement, and manage processes and procedures related to Velera pricing; work with other divisions to ensure authorizations are secured

  • Analyze competitor data on pricing trends.

  • Provide financial analysis, reporting, and modeling for core products and services and select ancillary products and services that cross multiple business units. Support Credit, Debit, Billpay, and Contact Center Services & Solutions lines of business as well as Co-op Network ATM and POS Network, Zelle, and other products as commercialized.

  • Drive innovation by developing, testing, and launching new pricing constructs to help business compete better in marketplace, while adhering to key pricing margins agreed upon by Client Growth Managementand Finance teams.

  • Manage workflow of proposal team via queue management, reporting, and/or centralized email boxes or CRM queues as assigned.

  • Serves as a champion for enterprise-wide pricing efforts and ensures accurate and timely published pricing updates; disseminated to appropriate staff; implements and monitors historical pricing information, and collaborates with product on emerging trends, and presents any opportunities to adjust pricing methodology, driver base, or naming convention to market annually.

  • Mentors and cross-trains Pricing Analysts in partnership with leadership team

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.

  • Master's degree in a business discipline preferred.

  • Master's level degree or other related certification (CPA, CMA, CPCA) preferred.

  • Seven (7) years business experience in a finance, or pricing role. Candidate must have a clear understanding of pricing theory and economics, as well as experience in creating and presenting strategic recommendations to senior-level management. Minimum of 4 years related financial analysis and complex financial modeling/data analysis work is required, or an equivalent combination of training or experience.

  • Payment industry experience preferred. Experience working with high performing, cross functional team environments preferred. Experience with sales automation software preferred.

  • Develops a strong understand of the underlying high level function, drivers of revenue/expense, and pricing of all Velera products within the card, bill pay, contact center, EFT Network, Network ATM Only, Zelle, and other services lines of business as commercialized.

  • Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of pricing analysis and financial model development, database software, data mining, and information extraction and other Velera analytics tools.

  • Familiarity with Configure, Price, and Quote (CPQ) - Deal HUB preferred Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management Software - Salesforce.com preferred

  • Ability to travel as needed, less than 5%

Pay Equity

$84,900.00 - $108,200.00
