Job Title: Cook

Reports To: Executive Chef

Summary: A Prep Cook performs various food preparation, cooking and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for our guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Completes all tasks, in order, on the prep list
  • Set up and sanitize workstations
  • Check labels daily to ensure freshness
  • Label and stock ingredients in their designated areas
  • Wash, chop and sort ingredients
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • Parboil food, reducing sauces and make soup stock
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
  • Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware
  • Clean work area, sinks, counters, display and prep tables and other equipment
  • Follow proper safety procedures when using kitchen equipment
  • Empty wastebaskets and transports trash to disposal area
  • Keeps record of cooler and freezer temps
  • Assists in all areas of the kitchen as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
