Job description

As an integral part of our operation, this role will work in our Gatehouse at the entrance to our facility, ensuring daily operations are handled smoothly, professionally and accurately. The Gatehouse Clerk enforces access control and is the first point of contact for drivers, shipments and visitors.

Pay: $21.00/hr

This is a temporary full-time position up to 6 months.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday AM Shift

Su 4:30a-1:00p

M 4:00a-12:30p

Tu 4:30a-1:00p

W/Th 5:30a-2:00p

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong computer/data entry skills

  • Ability to professionally communicate verbally and in writing

  • Strong telephone and e-mail communication skills

  • Ability to work as a team member

  • Ability to multi-task while remaining organized

  • Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work overtime hours as needed

  • Successful candidates must pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verification of documentation (validating inbound delivery receipts and completing the paperwork accurately), confirm purchase order numbers, and match up shipments to purchase orders

  • Enforce access control procedures ensuring that only authorized personnel gain access documenting visitors into the facility

  • Communication with coworkers, drivers, and customers and relaying information

  • Use two way walkie/talkie device to communicate with warehouse

  • Data entry is a must, along with knowledge of programs within Microsoft Office

  • Review inventory reports for accuracy and discrepancies

  • Excellent communication skills and able to work within a team of other clerical and warehouse employees

  • Photocopy documents, collate, assemble and distribute materials

  • Receive and document deliveries from USPS, UPS and FedEx

  • Professionally answer, screen and route incoming telephone calls and log messages

  • Must be very accurate, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
