Position Summary:
The Production Bagging Worker at Preferred Popcorn is responsible for preparing and processing packaging of products. Responsible for following all safety and quality standards required as required by Company Policy. The position functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Operate packaging line and other plant duties as assigned
  • Operate forklift, slipsheet machines, and pallet jacks to move product and load trucks/containers accordingly
  • Unload incoming material and document accordingly
  • Understand and follow shipping schedule to ensure on time packaging and shipping
  • Gather, inspect, and complete paperwork required for shipping and traceability
  • Follow all policies and procedures required by Preferred Popcorn that involve the packaging of products
  • Complete appropriate documentation in order to comply with company guidelines, not limited to packaging and finished product traceability
  • Monitor CCP completing appropriate paperwork
  • Perform food safety and quality inspections on finished product
  • Collect retention samples from customer orders
  • Report any food safety, quality, and occupational concerns to management immediately
  • Follow all policies and procedures on safety, cleanliness, and BRC/FDA
  • Other duties as assigned by the Plant Operations Manager and Preferred Popcorn management team
