SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITY:

Assists the District Planner by providing demographic and logistical planning developed from data sources and geographic information systems by performing the following duties.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Creation and maintenance of district-wide mapping.
  • Creation and maintenance of a facility database.
  • Creation of school district maps for attendance and walk boundaries.
  • Application of demographic and socioeconomic community data sources to the district geographic boundaries for planning and grant-writing purposes. Responsible for research and data analysis to support zoning changes and permit processes for facilities maintenance and construction projects.
  • Use of GIS mapping systems. Windows-based graphics, spreadsheet and word processing programs in support of district planning efforts.
  • Development and maintenance of classroom utilization data for all schools.
  • Collection and analysis of data for use in the annual Capital Projects Fund budget.
  • Maintain Planning web site.
  • Provide support for interactive mapping site.
