Job description

About the Opportunity

We are one of the nation’s leading distributors of public safety equipment and PPE, serving fire departments, law enforcement, EMS, and government agencies across the United States.

We are launching a new pilot program designed for highly motivated sales professionals who want the freedom of an entrepreneurial role while having the backing of a national organization.

This is a W-2, 100% commission sales position focused on developing business with small fire departments (approximately 0–50 personnel).

We are open to both full-time and part-time candidates who are serious about building income through performance-based sales. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility, independence, and uncapped earning potential.

If you are driven, self-motivated, and ready to build your own territory with unlimited upside, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Prospect and develop new fire department accounts within your assigned territory
  • Build relationships with Fire Chiefs, Assistant Chiefs, Training Officers, Purchasing personnel, and municipal decision-makers
  • Sell a full portfolio of fire equipment and PPE, including:
    • Turnout Gear
    • Fire Boots
    • Gloves
    • Protective Hoods
    • Helmets
    • Hose
    • Nozzles
    • Hand Tools
  • Build and manage your own sales pipeline
  • Conduct product demonstrations and customer presentations
  • Quote opportunities and close new business
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure excellent customer experience
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for individuals who are hungry to build a business—not just manage accounts.

Successful candidates are:

  • Self-starters
  • Competitive and driven
  • Highly organized
  • Comfortable with prospecting and cold outreach
  • Strong communicators
  • Relationship builders
  • Coachable and adaptable
  • Resilient in a performance-based environment

Ideal Candidate (Strongly Preferred Background)

The ideal candidate has direct experience in the fire service.

We are especially interested in individuals who are:

  • Current or former firefighters (career, volunteer, or combination departments)
  • Experienced in using fire equipment and PPE in real-world conditions
  • Familiar with fire department operations, budgeting, and procurement processes
  • Credible within the fire service community
  • Able to build trust quickly with Fire Chiefs and department leadership
  • Transitioning from the fire service into a long-term sales career
  • Looking to leverage their fire service experience into high-income potential

Active firefighters seeking flexible, part-time income opportunities are also encouraged to apply.

This background is not required, but it is a significant advantage in this role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • B2B outside sales experience preferred
  • Experience in public safety, fire service, PPE, industrial, or municipal sales is a plus
  • Experience working with government or municipal accounts is helpful
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory

Compensation

  • W-2 Employee
  • 100% Commission Structure
  • Unlimited earning potential
  • No commission cap
  • Performance-based incentives
  • Opportunity for territory expansion and advancement as the program grows

Top performers will have the opportunity to help shape the future of this national sales initiative.

Why Join Us

  • Represent one of the largest public safety distributors in the country
  • Industry-leading product portfolio
  • Strong national purchasing power and manufacturer relationships
  • Full CRM, sales tools, and internal support provided
  • Opportunity to build long-term, recurring customer relationships
  • Ground-floor opportunity in a high-growth sales program
  • Flexible structure supporting both full-time and part-time contributors

What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you will:

  • Build a consistent pipeline of new fire department opportunities
  • Establish strong relationships across your territory
  • Generate new PPE and equipment sales
  • Become a trusted advisor to volunteer and combination fire departments
  • Develop long-term customer relationships that drive repeat business
