Brown & Brown is seeking a Personal Lines Insurance Advisor to join our growing team in Vero Beach, FL!

The Personal Insurance Advisor position generates new business production through the sale of Personal Lines products and insurance sales. Compensation consists of a base salary plus earned commission.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Develop a Personal Lines Sales and Marketing Center for the agency. Establish referral sources through relationships included but not limited to; Realtors, Bankers, Mortgage Companies, Builders, Auto Dealerships, etc.

  • Create strong connections and visibility through community involvement.

  • Obtain requests for Personal Lines new business quotes, ascertain lead source, and gather the necessary information to produce a quotation.

  • Create proposals, recommendations, and presentations to prospects using sales techniques and systems representative of the agency.

  • Establish premium payment arrangements and meet agency account receivable guidelines for each account, new and existing.

  • Work closely with Personal Lines Customer Service Agents, providing guidance and assistance in maintaining and servicing the agency's personal lines accounts.

  • Monitor all Personal Lines new business lead sources for review with leadership.

  • Maintain pleasant and satisfactory relationships with all company personnel, with emphasis placed on meeting agency/company objectives.

  • Place new business in the best available market for the insured, taking into consideration maximum commission and protection of agency markets.

  • Generate life, health, and estate planning leads through prospecting new and existing customers.

  • Maintain monthly New Business Log, CRM, and other systems to align with best practices and for review with leadership.

  • Communicate information about new personal lines markets, products and marketplace changes to the Personal Lines Department Leader.

  • Set priorities and manage workflow in a timely manner to ensure efficient and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • 2-20 Property & Casualty License

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience

  • Results-oriented Team Player

  • Excel in collaborative team environment

  • Ability to create and break relationships, take action, and handle multiple projects/tasks at once

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Routine or periodic travel is required; which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position
