Personal Lines Account Manager / CSR

Location: San Diego, CA

Salary: $65,000-85,000

(Depending on experience and qualifications)

Independent insurance agency is seeking a highly experienced personal lines account manager (personal lines CSR) to join their personal lines team! This is an in-office position with the potential for some hybrid-remote work after onboarding. Work setting is within a collaborative team based environment. Requires an experienced insurance professional that is comfortable following established agency protocols.


The personal lines account manager will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to the agency's personal lines clients. The personal lines account manager will respond to client calls about policy changes, updates and coverage questions, plus consult with clients on potential new lines of coverage or increased levels of coverage to ensure clients have the appropriate amount of insurance protection. The account manager will be responsible for providing timely and professional day-to-day client service, providing new client insurance quotes across multiple carriers, and work closely with the personal lines producer and insurance company representatives. 

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support and service a wide range of personal lines accounts.
  • Support agency producers with customer service related tasks.
  • Handle incoming new business sales calls or walk-in business as needed
  • Cross-sell or account rounding as needed ensuring clients have appropriate coverage
  • Liaison between clients, producers and insurance company representatives. 
  • Certificates, endorsements, binders, and first claims
  • Marketing, quoting, rating of new client business and account renewals.

 

Requirements:

  • California Property & Casualty Insurance License Required
  • Experience with auto, home, condo, flood, renters, boat, and recreational policies
  • Minimum of 5 years independent agency experience
  • Experience with insurance quoting and policy updates
  • Experience with account rounding/ cross-selling
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and related software
  • Experience using Applied (TAM or EPIC) or AMS 360 agency management systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with high net worth clients is a plus
  • Some experience with small commercial accounts is a plus.
