Job description

We are seeking Client Service Representatives to join our growing team! We are a multi-office insurance agency with several locations throughout the Hudson Valley. As a Client Service Representative you will support the client service function of the Personal Lines department as well as assists in the production of new accounts and the retention of existing accounts.

Position Functions

  1. Receives and reviews all terminations and cancellations to determine action to be taken and takes needed action within 72 hours of receipt
  2. Receives phone calls, emails and office visitors requesting quotes, changes to existing coverage and/or new policies. Completes changes/requests efficiently
  3. Inform and educate clients about coverage, exclusions and exposures
  4. Maintains a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with customers, agency and company personnel
  5. Actively seeks referrals from current client base to solicit for new business prospects
  6. Documents all material conversations with insureds and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverages.
  7. Handles all aspects of the servicing of Personal Lines accounts
  8. Remarkets accounts
  9. Performs client reviews
  10. Delegates monoline accounts to a sales resource
  11. Performs other functions as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be an assertive self-starter with the ability to influence others. Ability to demonstrate effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communications. Ability to use personal computer, calculator, agency automation systems, and various software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience and Education

  • High school graduate
  • NYS Property & Casualty license
  • Experience required
