Permanent Part Time - Line Prep Cook 15-30 hours
We are looking for an experienced and hardworking line cook to join our company. Our line cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking appetizers, and entrees; ensuring the ingredients are fresh, that the work area is clean, and that the necessary equipment is readily available.
You will need to be detail-oriented, and able to thrive in the fast-paced environment of our kitchen.
Line/Prep Cook Duties and Responsibilities
- Cooking the food as ordered
- Prepping before shifts
- Seasoning food
- Boiling water for rice, pasta, and other foods
- Cutting or peeling fruits, vegetables, and meats
- Making sure food on the menu is available
- Making special dishes for customers with food allergies
- Cleaning during and end of shift
- Washing dishes on occasion
- Working together with other employees
Line Cook preferred Requirements and Qualifications
- Excelling in a variety of cooking styles, and techniques
- Knowledge of safety rules and regulations
- Past experience as a line cook preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
- Current Food handlers ServSafe certificate
