Payroll + Accounting Specialist

Monroe, LA

We're looking for a detail-oriented Payroll + Accounting Specialist to oversee payroll processing for multiple companies while supporting accounting functions related to payroll and employee benefits. What You'll Do

Payroll

  • Process payroll for multiple companies accurately and on schedule
  • Enter payroll changes including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, deductions, garnishments, commissions, bonuses, and PTO
  • Review payroll reports to ensure accuracy before processing
  • Maintain employee payroll records and documentation
  • Assist employees and managers with payroll-related questions
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies

Accounting

  • Reconcile benefit invoices and payroll-related accounts
  • Prepare payroll reports and assist with month-end reporting
  • Support general accounting and reconciliation activities
  • Work closely with HR and Accounting to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Assist with insurance audits and payroll reporting as needed
  • Help identify opportunities to improve payroll and accounting processes
