Weโ€™re hiring a full-time Accounting Manager, Payroll/AP for our Finance & Accounting Division.

As our Accounting Manager, Payroll/AP, youโ€™ll be a key steward of the financial operations that power our mission. In this role, you will:

  • Lead and oversee daily Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and seamless coverage across functions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including payroll taxes and required reporting.
  • Manage tax accounts with state agencies and proactively monitor all filings to ensure they are completed correctly and on schedule.
  • Review and approve ACH and wire transactions, safeguarding internal controls and financial integrity.
  • Foster a high performing team culture through regular coaching conversations, active performance management, and targeted development opportunities while engaging and motivating team members to achieve individual and organizational goals through clear expectations and ongoing guidance.

To support onboarding and training, the initial weeks of employment will be conducted in-office. Following this period, remote work may be available on an intermittent basis, as determined by the manager.

Your experience, skills, and education should include:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English at a proficient level.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting controls and compliance with GASB regulations
  • Strong understanding of payroll wage and tax requirements.
  • Strong ability to leverage computerized financial and accounting systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • At least 5 yearsโ€™ experience with UKG software or similar payroll software products and at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Masterโ€™s degree in a related field and at least three years relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
