Description

Position Summary

Menemsha Development Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll & Accounting Coordinator to join our Finance team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop a well-rounded foundation in payroll administration and corporate finance. Approximately three days each week will be dedicated to payroll processing and administration, while the remaining time will support a variety of project accounting and corporate finance responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

PAYROLL 

Full ownership of timesheets. Weekly review of coding, overtime and PTO. Resolve any issues and ensure deadlines are met. Run all audit reports for Time and Labor prior to processing.

Process expense reports and perform an audit prior to uploading. Prep expense reports for entry into Sage.

Set up new hires in Paylocity after onboarding 

Upkeep of job numbers in Paylocity. Responsible for making sure new numbers are entered in a timely manner. Assist in annual deactivation of old numbers.

Run weekly reports after processing.

Back up for processing payroll.


Accounting/Finance Support 

Assist with accounts payable processing and invoice management

Support account reconciliations and financial record maintenance

Prepare spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Excel

Perform data entry and maintain financial documentation

Assist with month-end and year-end close activities

Support special projects and process improvement initiatives

Provide general administrative support to the Finance department

Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Accounting or Finance degree preferred
  • Highly proficient in Paylocity and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excel in analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to details and minimal supervision
