Job description

Job Title/Position: Community Relations Liaison
Reports To: Executive Director/Administrator
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Responsible for managing all aspects of organization marketing/sales including managing the members of the marketing/sales team, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customer requests and concerns, and negotiating service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Assists the Executive Director/Administrator in establishing marketing goals and volume projections.
  2. Continuously conducts market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet volume projections.
  3. Employs marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve volume projections.
  4. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources.
  5. Establishing consistent referral sources to ensure a growing patient census.
  6. Builds and monitors community, customer, payer and patient perceptions of Freedom Home Health and Hospice Care Service Inc. as a high quality provider of services.
  7. Identifies opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs, including deliveries, complete paperwork, obtaining feedback, etc.
  8. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of Freedom Home Health and Hospice Care Services Inc. markets including government agencies, major paper groups, key referrals sources, and competitor's market positioning.
  9. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and shares information with appropriate organization personnel.
  10. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing community resources should services not be provided by Freedom Home Health and Hospice Care Services Inc.
  1. Monitors and reports cost effectiveness of marketing efforts.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare or related field preferred.
  2. One (1) year experience in healthcare marketing, preferably in hospice care operations preferred.
  3. Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
  4. Demonstrates good communication skills, negotiation skills, and public relations skills.
  5. Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
