ABOUT OUR TEAM AND THE ROLE:
As a Partner Business Advisor, you will have the opportunity to cultivate relationships with our partners, gaining access to funding opportunities. Our partners connect us with small and mid-sized business owners, enabling us to provide these clients with much needed capital. This role involves handling inbound financing applications and involves no outbound prospecting or cold calling.
If you are ready, we have an awesome opportunity for you in our corporate office in Bethesda, MD, a couple of city blocks from the Bethesda Metro.
In addition, our Partner Business Advisors will:
  • Manage assigned leads, gather data on potential clients to understand their business, identify their financial needs and facilitate funding
  • Quote products, negotiate pricing and close the sale
  • Cross-sell to existing clients by building rapport and identifying their needs
  • Educate and provide professional recommendations to partners and clients based on their needs
  • Manage your lead pipeline to help guide new applications through to funded loans and lines of credit

This is a B2B sales role in which you will work to acquire new and existing relationships with business owners by managing relationships with our current partners and clients.
WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT YOU:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, communications, psychology or a similar field (or have some college coursework completed or equivalent experience)
  • You have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in consultative selling (inside or outside sales) in a goals-oriented, productivity/metric-driven sales environment (preferred).
  • You're able to quickly build rapport, earn the trust of your customers and keep them coming back
  • You share our passion for empowering small business owners and/or an interest in financial services
  • You aren't afraid of the phone - you're willing to pick up the phone and talk to partners and small business owners about their financial needs.
  • You are financially motivated, confident in your ability to succeed, and you are willing to put in the extra hours, especially if it means closing a deal.
  • You thrive when hard work results in dollars earned and are comfortable with a blended compensation plan (base salary + incentives)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Critical thinking, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
  • Your work style is flexible - you can work well independently and as part of a team
